Creative technology studio Preymaker welcomes Theuns Van Rensburg and Robert Bruce to the company’s Creative team.
Both are highly respected creative leaders and visual effects artists whose credits span commercials and feature films. Van Rensburg was recently 2D Lead on the 2026 Super Bowl spot The Choice for Pepsi featuring fully CG Pepsi polar bears, which won a GOLD Andy Award and ranked third on USA Today’s prestigious Super Bowl Ad Meter, and the 2023 Super Bowl spot booking.com Somewhere, Anywhere with Melissa McCarthy which was the game’s most watched ad on YouTube. And Bruce was recently VFX Supervisor on Super CLIO award-winning and Emmy-nominated Michael CeraVe for CeraVe, and Compositor on Zillow The Journey which won Best in Show at AICP and was nominated for two VES Awards.
“Theuns and Robert are two of the industry’s most talented artists, with strong track records not only for creative excellence but also as team leaders,” said Angus Kneale, Preymaker’s Chief Creative. “They are both great people and we know they will make a big impact on our work and culture. They’ll also help grow our creative team to be the best artists they can be. We’re very happy to have them join us.”
“I joined Preymaker because it feels like a place where strong craft and curiosity go hand in hand,” said Van Rensburg, Creative at Preymaker. “I’m looking forward to both mentoring and learning from the team, and experimenting with new visual effects approaches to keep pushing the work forward."
“I am honored to be joining Preymaker,” said Bruce, Creative at Preymaker. “Having worked alongside the founders and many of the team members years ago, I have seen firsthand the vision, creativity and drive that make the studio so special. What has impressed me more is how Preymaker has been on the cutting edge of innovative AI and pipeline tools that are changing how we approach production. I am excited to build on that ingenuity alongside such a talented group of people and hope together we can keep pushing the craft of visual effects.”
